03.24 - Section 2 Writing for Public Figure Project

For class today, I returned work that had been submitted last week and graded over the weekend along with updated grade report sheets. These grade report sheets do not yet reflect the writing portion for the second section of the public figure project (the review of professional work). The grade reports do show the source, notecard, and outline grades for these sections.

Everyone had the period to continue work on their public figure project. During this time I met individually with people to check in about their progress on this project and to answer any questions that people had.

At this point, everyone should be finishing their outline for the public figure project and then drafting their initial writeup for this section.

Section 2: Review of Professional Work - Section Requirements

3 new sources (may use information from previous sources as well.

15 Notecards
3 summary
2 paraphrase
2 quotation
8 free choice (summary, paraphrase, and quotation)

Final write up: 900 words

Our work on this section of the paper will be as follows for this week:

Wednesday - section 2 notecards, section 2 outline (with thesis and main ideas)
Thursday - finish section 2 outline, begin writing the initial draft for section 2 (due Monday)
