04.03 - Professional Presentations

Today in class, we started looking at professional presentations. For these we are using TED Talks and analyzing use of slide presentations with the talk and how presenters seek to engage their audience.

The talk that we watched today was by Cameron Russell and is available below. While watching the talk, everyone was asked to jot down notes on the video related to the following questions:

1 - How does Russell use her slideshow as part of her presentation?
2 - Aside from her slide show, how does Russell engage her audience and make her presentation interesting?
3 - What is your reaction to Russell's message in this video?

We will discuss this presentation more tomorrow.

Everyone also worked on the practice sheet associated with the set 13 roots and prefixes in preparation for the quiz tomorrow.

Homework:

If you did not do so in class, finish responding to the Cameron Russell presentation questions.
