04.07 - Presentation Analysis Comparison

Today in class, we finished watching the Mike Rowe TED Talk. Everyone had a few minutes to write down their analysis of the talk and then we came together as a group and discussed the presentation. Our discussion focused on people's reaction to the messages in the two talks and then how effectively those messages were delivered through the speaker's presentation.

Some key takeaways from this discussion was that an engaging presentation needed no slideshow. People generally felt that Mike Rowe's presentation was great without a slideshow because it enabled people to focus on what he was saying and that Cameron Russell's presentation was great with just her wardrobe change and demonstration of modeling skills.

We will begin to work on section 3 of the public figure project and presentations for these projects tomorrow.
